Grounds and Park

The grounds and parks committee maintains and improves the common areas and parks in Lake Forest. Areas of the subdivision under the committee's purview include:

• The three subdivision entrances off Ellsworth Road.
• The common frontage area and sidewalk along Ellsworth Road.
• The inter-linked park and path system (in both open and wooded areas).
• The playground and picnic area in Warner Park.
• The cul-de-sac islands.

The committee manages the following tasks:

• Landscaping, signs, and lighting for the three subdivision entrances.
• Mowing, fertilizing, and controlling weeds in the common areas and parks.
• Removing snow and ice along the half-mile stretch of sidewalk on Ellsworth and along certain interior sidewalks bordering common areas.
• Maintaining the play structure in Warner Park.
• Planting and caring for the trees in common areas and parks.
